The Whole 9 Gallery proudly shows fine and functional art from members of TheWhole9.com, an international online creative community, as well as other conscious artists throughout the United States and around the world. We hold 6-8 shows a year including our annual Peace Project exhibit which features visions of peace from artists around the world. All sales in the gallery help fund the work we're doing with The Peace Project, a non-profit we founded in July of 2010 to show that great change can happen very quickly if creative people work together.
Since The Peace Project's inception, we've changed thousands of lives through many programs, including Operation Rise whereby on September 21st, 2011, World Peace Day, we distributed 10,000 pairs of crutches across the entire country of Sierra Leone and changed the lives of thousands of amputees, war victims, women, children, and their families and communities. In November 2014, we completed our first community of houses in the Philippines for those who lost everything in Typhoon Haiyan. We also just finished construction of a Peace Center in the Philippines as part of the community we rebuilt. From here vocational skills training will take place, arts and cultural programs will be hosted and micro-lending will begin -- all designed to turn a terrible tragedy into a remarkable opportunity.
Through creativity and community, we can change the world.
