THE TASTE

Fruit-driven, full-bodied complex red blend sourced from Southern Oregon and Red Mountain Washington.  The rich, ripe, voluptuous fruit (blackberry, blueberry & plum) comes from Oregon Syrah with just enough Washington Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot to give it complexity and structure.  Think cherry pits and leather whips!

PAIR IT WITH

Steaks, burgers, and strong cheeses.

THE STORY

Always on the move, Andre Mack left his job in finance to pursue his dream of becoming a winemaker, working as a sommelier at the world-renowned French Laundry in Napa, California and becoming the first black sommelier to be named Sommelier of the Year.

In 2007, Andre set up shop under the moniker of Maison Noir Wines (originally Mouton Nour meaning Black Sheep) with no money and no investors, seeking to infuse his brand with his love of hip-hop, skate culture and punk rock and create wines with daring names and unique grape combinations that most established winemakers wouldn’t dream of.  He has left his auspicious beginning in 2007 behind – his wines are now sold across the United States and in over a dozen countries
